    In new developments concerning the Mara Salvatrucha gang ,Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo talks in an interview with NPR, about the impact of violent crime, particularly gang violence, in Los Angeles.


     Police Chief Art Acevedo talk about gang's crimes ,and described it  disproportionately brutal, and announced that  President Trump has made it a priority to deport members of the violent gang  MS-13, and he and Trump’s promise to eradicate the gang.


     MS-13 has been in the news recently due to the brutal murders of five men in Long Island by MS-13 members,The United States and El Salvador are working together to combat the threat of the violent MS-13 gang, with El Salvador announcing Thursday that they charged 113 gang members.



    MS-13, short for Mara Salvatrucha, is the most notorious and violent gangs, and they’re a problem in the city of Houston , this gang originated in Los Angeles the fourth largest city in the United States, founded in the 1980s by Salvadoran immigrants in the city's Pico-Union neighborhood who immigrated to the United States after the Central American civil wars of the 1980s.
