    1-  An American country music singer and songwriter.
    2- He was in August 8, 1932 ,in Tampa, Florida, but later  grow up in Pahokee , and died today  November 19, 2017 .

    3- His biggest success happend  in the 1970s, with a long list of Top 10 hits.

    4- In 2007, Tillis became a regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry country music show.

    5- His  biggest hits is: "I Ain't Never", "Good Woman Blues", and "Coca-Cola Cowboy"

    6-  On  2012, President Barack Obama awarded him the National Medal of Arts for his contributions to music .

    7- He  had  six children & one brother, Richard, and two sisters, Linda and Imogene.

    8- During the 1980s he appeared as television commercial spokesman for the fast food restaurant .chain Whataburger .

    9- His daughter Pam was inducted him to the Opry . Along with being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry,  on August 7 ,he is the latest to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

    10- At the age of 78and  in 2010, he released his first comedy album " You Ain’t Gonna :", which earned him a No. 3 peak on the Comedy Albums chart .
